Crossroads Clash - Summer 3v3
The Indianapolis Northside Lions host an annual Crossroads Clash Summer 3v3 Series. Join us during the off-season for a single-day, double-elimination 3v3 tournament. The goal of these tournaments is to provide a fun and competitive off-season skill development opportunity for athletes who are homeschooled, attend private Christian schools, or other alternative models of primary education.
With a maximum of 4 players permitted per team, registration starts at just $25 per player for individuals seeking to be assigned to a team, or $80 for groups registering as a team. Sports clubs or organizations registering three or more teams qualify for a discounted rate of $70 per team.
Teams can enter into one of 6 brackets: girls and boys, 14u, 16u, and 18u. Age division will be determined by the oldest player on the team, not the average or minimum ages. Ages will be determined by players’ ages as of August 1, 2024.
When: August 17th, 2024
Where: Castleview Church, 8601 Hague Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46256

Rules:
The tournament will be conducted using the USA Basketball rules, found here, with the following modifications:
Article 2 – A team may choose to play with only 3 players, risking injury or disqualification leaving a 2-person team to contend.
Article 3 – A single court moderator may be used in lieu of a referee and score-keeper team.
Article 6.1 – A 15-minute running clock will be used in lieu of a 10-minute stopped clock.
Article 9.2 – No shot clock will be present, but stalling remains a violation.
Article 13 is replaced with a double-elimination tournament bracket.
Article 14 is replaced with either a player poll prior to the tournament, or if court-time allows, a seed-determining round of abridged scrimmages will begin the day.
While coaches may attend, encourage, and instruct players between games, coaches may not call timeouts nor direct plays during game play. First offense will be a warning, and a second offense will be a technical foul. Learning intuitive game play, court spacing, and player communication is the primary skill-development goal for this event.
Each team must wear either a matching set of reversible practice jerseys, or all players must have both a white and a dark shirt of a common color.
